SSC Stenographer Exam Syllabus , Pattern, Study Material for Grade C & D - SSC Recruitment 2014

General Intelligence & Reasoning:-

It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory,discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that t
hey do not require a special study of any discipline.

NOTE : For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability and opting for SCRIBE there will
be no component of Maps/Graphs/Diagrams/Statistical Data in the General Intelligence & Reasoning / General Awareness

Paper.English Language & Comprehension : In addition to the testing of candidates' understanding of the English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. his/her writing ability, would also be tested.




(B) SKILL TEST IN STENOGRAPHY: Candidates who obtain the qualifying marks in the Written Examination as may be prescribed by the Commission will only be called for the Skill Test. It may also prescribe qualifying marks in each part of the Written Examination. THE SKILL TEST WILL BE OF
QUALIFYING NATURE and the Commission will fix the qualifying standards in the skill test for different categories of candidates.

The candidates will have to appear for the stenography test. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer only. The transcription time is as follows:-

For Stenographer Grade ‘D’ : 50 minutes ( English ) 65 minutes ( Hindi )
For Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 40 minutes ( English ) 55 Minutes ( Hindi )

NOTE :

(1) If the candidates do not indicate the medium of STENOGRAPHY TEST in Column No. 1  to 4 of  the Application Form, the Commission will consider ENGLISH as the medium of STENOGRAPHY TEST for such candidates and the candidates will not be allowed to change the medium at a subsequent stage. 
(2) There is no exemption from skill test for any category of candidates.
(3) Candidates who opt to take the Stenography Test in Hindi will be required to learn English Stenography and vice versa after their appointment.
(4) VH candidates will be required to transcribe the matter in 75 minutes for English Shorthand or in 100 minutes for Hindi Shorthand for the post of Stenographer Gr ade ‘D’ and in 70 minutes for English Shorthand test and in 95 minutes for Hindi Shorthand test for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’.
(5) The SKILL TEST will be held at the Commission’s Regional/Sub Regional Offices or at other Centres as may be decided by the Commission.
(6) Detailed instructions regarding Skill Test will be sent by the concerned Regional/Sub Regional Offices of the Commission to the candidates called for the Skill Test.

CSIR UGC NET Syllabus 2013

CSIR UGC NET Exam for the Single Paper MCQ test in Engineering Sciences. The MCQ test paper in Engineering Science shall carry a maximum of 200 marks. The duration of exam shall be three hours. AP TET Syllabus 2013

Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh will be Conduct Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) on Sunday, 01st September, 2013The AP TET structure and content of each part of Paper-I and Paper-II of the fourth APTET, and the breakup of the total 150 marks among various parts of the paper are given below -

STRUCTURE AND CONTENT OF APTET :
A. All questions in APTET - September 2013 will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.
B. There will be two papers of APTET-September 2013.
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
C. A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

1. The syllabus for Child Development and Pedagogy under Paper- I is based on the syllabus of D.Ed curriculum focusing on Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning in Classes I to V and above. 

2. In Andhra Pradesh, the following languages are offered under Language I viz., Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya and Tamil. Candidate has to choose one of these 9 languages under Language I under APTET. 

3. In respect of Andhra Pradesh language II under APTET shall be English for all candidates irrespective of medium of the school to which they intend to seek employment.

4. The syllabi for Mathematics & Environmental Studies are designed on the basis of topics of Classes I to V of state syllabus (old). The difficulty standard of questions will be up to X class level. In Mathematics 24 MCQs will be on content and 6 MCQs on pedagogy. Similarly in Environmental Studies 24 MCQs will be on content and 6 MCQs on pedagogy.

5. The syllabi for Language I & II shall be based on proficiency in the language, elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities (standard up to Class X level).

CMAT 2014 Online Registration www.aicte-cmat.in CMAT 2014-15 Exam Date, Syllabus, Admit Card

AICTE  used to conducted National level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) twice a year for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE.

The notification is issued to announce the schedule for conducting First Test of  Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for admission for academic year 2014-15. Eligible & Interested Candidates can apply through Online Registration on or before 21st Aug, 2013. Further details of CMAT 2014-15 (FIRST TEST) is mention below .

The candidates will have two opportunities to appear in CMAT- first in September, 2013 and Second in February, 2014. The better of two scores will be used for admission for 2014-15.

Eligibility of CMAT 2014 :

Educational Qualification : Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for 2014 can apply for CMAT online.

Application Fee : 
1. General/OBC Candidates need to Pay Test Fee Rs. 1200 + Bank charges.
2. SC/ST/PD Candidates need to Pay Test Fee Rs. 600 + Bank charges.
3. CMAT 2014-15 for any test centre in Foreign Countries : $125+ Bank charges.

Admission Process : 
1. The detailed merit list will be provided to the respective State Governments for allotting the students through central counseling or otherwise as per their notified admission procedure.

2. In case, there is no central counseling,  Scores awarded will be used for admission in the AICTE approved Institutes/University Departments.

CTET 2013 Study Material ?

In accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of Section 23 of the RTE Act, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) had vide Notification dated 23rd August, 2010 and 29th July, 2011 laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in classes I to VIII. It had been inter alia provided that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE.

The General Intelligence question like : analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc.

(ii) General Awareness :  This set is based on current affairs, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity & Scientific Research etc. Examiner will put the question about whole world affair and  history. So read the news paper and news channels every day. Some time examiner put the question from current trends like : 
  • How many medal win by India.
  • Which is apple launched his tablet etc.
(iii) Quantitative Aptitude:  This test is purely based on your qualification . In this set you can see some following question like : 
  • decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage. Ratio & Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Alligation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra & Elementary surds etc.
